In June, 2017 in Väätsa Youth Centre a workshop was organised how to create music and how to manage music during concerts by sound operator.
3D printing course in Väätsa Rural Municipality
On 5-6 Oct, 2017 3D printing course was carried out for teachers in Väätsa Basic School and playschool, staff from Väätsa Municipality and youth centre, students.

Using Ozobots in Learning
Students in Väätsa Basic School use Ozobots in different lessons. Below there is an example how to use and integrate Ozobots in mother tongue and technology lessons for Form 3 students (9-10-year-old).

Using different technology kits in Learning
In Väätsa school and playschool different kits and devices are used in learning. Some exaplmples are using Ozobots, Beebots and a kit Littlebits. Also for making music Makey Makey is used, for construction a kit Lego Mindstorms is used, for programming Edisons are used.
Aims are: to develop students skills in technology, programming and learning. Therefore to avoid early school leaving.

Students in Väätsa Basic School created web sites for themselves using a tool Google sites.
Aims were: to create a web portfolio where all learning materials and links are uploaded;
to develop ICT skills by creating web sites and managing them.

On 30 May in Väätsa Basic School over-school outdoor day was held where students studied only outside. They were divided into mixed teams of 6-7 students in different age. Teachers of different subjects drew lots to work and create tasks together. Students' teams had to visit different workshops. The tasks were created according to the materials studied this school year.
Workshops were as follows:
1. playing Kahoot quiz about Russian and English speaking countries using smartphones;
2. Creating table games for Ozobots;
3. Building a plastic circle and walking with it a given distance with a team;
4. Building robots according to the tasks:
5. Passing a spider net where each team member has to pass a different hole;
6. Building skis for a team and passing a distance;
7. Creating arts using different plants, branches etc;
8. Creating music instrument, so called Jew's instrument using leaves;
9. Shooting the bow.
After workshops students had a science workshop carried out by a team from AHHAA centre.

Animal pictures are printed out and coloured by children. After that they describe their pictures, find materials about an animal or bird on internet and watch films about them.

Training Activities organized by Köycegiz District Directorate
Koycegiz District Directorate of National Education is continuing to provide educational activities to teachers working at different schools in Koycegiz. The subjects are coding, puzzle making and creating webpages.
QR Code Application in Education
Koycegiz Gucu Sports Centre developed a mini educational game using QR Code. An orientiring game... Coaches and teachers at school firstly leanrt how to create qr code images nad then learnt how to make educational games using these codes.

Students attending Atatürk Primary School in the 2nd and 3rd grades visited SIFIGU Science Centre. They have done many experiments and witnessed the use of technology in educational life.
A Trip to Mugla Science Park
69 students attending Atatürk Primary School in the 4th grade visited Mugla Science Park. During this trip they have done various experiments and have been trained in using information technology in their lives.
Technology in Education Courses
45 teachers in Koycegiz District Directorate of National Education and Atatürk Primary School were trained in the use of technology in education. During the training, teachers have gained experience in writing code, preparing puzzles, preparing websites, drawing directions, orientiring etc.

Photoshop and CorelDRAW Training for the Staff at Mugla MEM
The staff working at Mugla Provincial Directorate of Education have attended two courses; Photoshop and CorelDRAW.
CorelDRAW is a robust graphics suite, providing many features for users to edit graphics. These features include contrast adjustment, color balancing, adding special effects to images and it is capapble of working with multiple layers and multiple pages.
Photoshop is a graphics-editing program that is used to create and manipulate images. The program's versatile nature makes it useful for a huge range of imaging tasks and photoshop is used in fields as diverse as architecture, astronomy, animation, forensics, web design, medicine and education.

Belsis is a mobile application running on the Internet. This application uses the Google Maps infrastructure to provide detailed information about the province and address and contact information for important locations. Mainly used by municipalities.

From 10 January to 14 March, 2017 English courses in Väätsa were carried out. An aim was to develop English skills through using ICT for staff and teachers in Väätsa Rural Municipality, Väätsa Playschool, Väätsa Basic School and Väätsa Youth Centre.

Workshop for ICT standards for teachers in Väätsa Basic School
On 6 January, 2017 a workshop was carried out for teachers in Väätsa Basic School where they were introduced ISTE documents: ISTE Standards for Teachers and ISTE Standards for Students. They got acquainted with ISTE levels, analysed and assessed their skills giving feedback in Padlet.

P.E. Lesson - through technology
In November, 2016 our students were ready fort he P.E. lesson with their tracksuits and trainers. Before the lesson started we measured their blood pressure and oxygen rate in their blood by finger pulsemeter. After a run about 200meters at the school yard, the values were re-measured and the results were recorded.
Secondly we recorded the energy consumed by the students while playing handball with a ball with normal pressure and a ball with low pressure. Records were saved.

In accordance with the records taken, we prepared a condition graphic of the students in order to use in P.E. lessons.
Nature Experts
In November, 2016 students at Kızılyaka Secondary School discovered the nature using tips by the help of the technology.
The nature lesson took place in a forest consisting of ocaliptus and pine trees. The main activities were;
-Finding directions and locations by using a compass
-Finding directions and locations by using a magnet
-Examining the leaves by using a magnifier
In terms of educational technology, by the help of the photos taken we provided direction finding training by the use of prezzie
We created puzzles in flash programme with the the photos of the leaves taken.

Discover Kaunos, Discover History!
On 12 October 2016, History Class by Kızılyaka Secondary School students (grade 6) was conducted. The topic was discovering historical places in the district, Köyceğiz. The place was KAUNOS(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaunos) and the task was to learn the histroy of Kaunos and then create a short informative video about it. Teacher used group work technique. Each learner is responsible for a task and they all colloborated to created the final version of the film. The class started in the school with presentation done by History Teacher. After the learners were supplied background information about Kaunos, teacher and the learners decided task distribution. In the afternoon, they continued the class in Kaunos to complete the film about it.

It was the most popular event during school holiday with the most popular Youtubers in Estonia Martti Hallik and Karlos Kolk. They talked about their everyday job that gives ideas for their videos. Also how to get subscribers and to be subscribed was explained. Different cameras, programmes were introduced. To youngsters surprise it came out that to make an one-minute video it takes three hours. To get more subscribers to their Youtube channel youngsters made an entry to their vlog with Martti and Karlos. Finally selfies were made with their idols Martti and Karlos.

On 20th October 6-year old students learned maths using Lego kits. They had the following tasks to do:
to build a three-storey house,
mum is on the roof, dad is in front of the house,
behind the house there is a flower bed with 5 flowers.
to count how many blocks were used to build the house, which colour and shape were they.

Outdoor lesson for the History of Paide with LoQuiz for classes 5-8 01.06.2016
For getting to know better our homeplace an orientating game LoQuiz was carried out for students 5-8 classes. The game was created by students enterprise Digitund and consisted of 14 questions about the history of Paide.
Students formed teams, downloaded LoQuiz app for smartphones and started to pass checkpoints. After that worksheets were filled in and winners were congratulated.
The history of homeplace is a part of curriculum in classes 5-8.

Workshop in Väätsa Open Youth Centre
In the workshop different chemical and physical experiments were made by youngsters:
1. a shaving material made of borax, glue PVA, food colors, water after what different creatures were made;
2. wind cannon made of bucket with no bottom. In the middle of the bucket plastic was placed and the handle was replaced with a rubber handle. When pulling the rubber handle it bounced against the plastic and created wind. Students could try how strongly they had to pull to create wind;
3. tornado was made of two plastic bottles that were filled with water. When spinning them tornado appeared;
4. a tower from spaghetties was made, tape, thread were used. On top of the tower a marshmallow was placed to check the strength of spaghetti-tower. Youngsters could check the weight of spaghetties and marshmallow.
